As the Business Development Manager, you will be calling on Tier I retail chains with 100 to 1,000+ stores and working on deals worth $400k to $4M. Within the chain, you will be consulting with VP or Director level executives in either Store Operation or Loss Prevention and navigating a high level and consultative sales process. You’ll also work with CPGs and other solution providers to create new business partnerships which are symbiotic with our business.
What You’ll do:
- Recommend industry leading products to the retailers and CPGs
- Develop mutually beneficial business relationships with symbiotic solution partners
- You’ll own and manage a pipeline of Business Development clients
- Create interest in our solution and drive retailers to trial our systems
- Monitor results and package customer data to prove the ROI of our systems
- Become an industry expert in how retailers increase sales and reduce shrink
- Learn how to navigate the capital budgeting process and win large deals
- Create and present compelling solution presentations to VP level executives across multiple disciplines within target key accounts
- Work closely with your sales application engineers, client success manager and project coordinator to ensure we deliver a high-quality service to our customers

Must-Haves:
- A proven track record of achievement
- The ability to conceptualize technical solutions
- Able to navigate complex decision-making processes within large retail organizations
- Great communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Expertise in using Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- A Bachelor degree or equivalent relevant experience
- Some direct retail experience or direct sales experience preferred
