Silent, Reliable, and Ready
Starting January 1, 2027, New York requires every large retailer to give employees a silent way to call for help, one that reaches a manager without alerting anyone nearby. Today, a cashier facing a tense moment has to shout for a manager, hope someone nearby hears, or simply wait. A single silent press changes that, before the deadline arrives, provides peace of mind long after.
One press. No sound. No delay.
A single, silent press reaches a manager, supervisor, or security team over whatever a store already uses: radio, intercom, or a digital task app. No new device category, no new screen to learn. One button, mounted once, is built to handle this alongside the other jobs it already does on the floor.
Fixed, monitored, and always at the station
Shouting depends on who is close enough to hear. A wearable depends on someone remembering to put it on and keep it charged. A fixed button is simply there, every shift, at every station, with continuous health reporting so a low battery or a dropped connection surfaces as an alert, not a surprise.
Scheduled reporting for every store
Installing a button is not the same as proving it works. Every button reports its own status on a schedule, giving store and district teams visibility into coverage without a manual check. The same reporting also respects the law's limits on tracking: it reports device health, not where an employee is standing.

Fixed buttons are always at the station, so no one has to remember to wear or charge one, and none can be lost. Battery status is visible and proactively monitored. Location information is clear by design (checkout, fitting rooms, back of house). Cost is lower at scale across a large, hourly workforce. Wearables still have a role, and many retailers run fixed buttons and wearables side by side.
Every button reports status continuously, including battery level. Low-battery and offline conditions trigger an alert in advance, rather than being discovered after a failure. Reporting through Indyme Cloud gives store and district visibility for compliance purposes. Typical battery life of two to three years keeps maintenance visits infrequent.
The Act limits employee location tracking. The Call Button reports device-level battery and connection status to Indyme Cloud; it does not track individual employee location or movement.
Retailers with 500 or more employees statewide in New York are covered, effective January 1, 2027.
The button routes over whatever the store already uses to communicate: two-way radio, PA, or a digital task app, and can also route to a centralized security operations center in addition to, or instead of, store-level staff.
