Joe Budano
Chief Executive Officer
Joe Budano joined Indyme in 2012 with a mandate to expand the company’s global footprint, drive an even stronger customer focus and accelerate the pace of innovation. Joe is passionate about creating market driven technologies that fundamentally change the economics of our customer’s businesses..
Joe brings over 25 years of successful high-tech business growth and strategic leadership to Indyme. Prior to joining Indyme, he was CEO of several private equity and venture capital backed technology companies ranging in size from pre-revenue to $1.2B. Prior to his business leadership roles, Mr. Budano was a management consultant with the Boston Consulting Group providing strategic guidance to fortune 100 companies. Previous to his stint at BCG, he held engineering and engineering management roles at Motorola.
Mr. Budano has five U.S. patents, holds a BSME degree from Boston University and a Masters of Management degree with distinction from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
James Doss
Chief Financial Officer
James Doss joined Indyme in 2015 as Chief Financial Officers. Mr. Doss has 20 years of experience in finance and accounting. Prior to Indyme, Mr. Doss served as President for 2 years and 8 years as the CFO of RF Industries, Inc. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and an MBA from San Diego State University.
Philip Joosten
VP Global Sales and Customer Care
Philip Joosten joined Indyme in 2012 with a mandate to expand the company’s global sales footprint. A Dutch national, Mr. Joosten has spent most of his career building and expanding international distribution channels for high technology products across Europe, Asia and Latin America. He has successfully built global sales channels for high technology products including next generation concentrated solar systems at Energy Innovations, sophisticated power electronics at Ametek/Xantrex/Elgar, public transportation management systems at Peek Traffic, and communication test instrumentation at Acterna/WWG/Wavetek. Prior to these roles, Mr. Joosten held various Project Management and Direct Sales positions in the communication division of Rohde & Schwarz based in Europe. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and a MS in RF-communications from HTS Oudenoord University, Utrecht, The Netherlands. Mr. Joosten is fluent in English, Dutch, German and French.
Dale Crum
VP Manufacturing
Dale Crum joined Indyme in 1988 and has been instrumental in the growth and development of the company’s infrastructure and manufacturing processes and procedures, including lean manufacturing and MRPII implementation. Prior to assuming the role of vice president of manufacturing, Crum managed several areas of Indyme’s growing manufacturing team, including purchasing, materials, production and operations. His prior management experience spans the food service and automotive industries, as well as leadership positions in the U.S. Army as tank commander, helicopter maintenance officer, maintenance test pilot and air battle captain. Mr. Crum holds a Certificate in Production and Inventory Management from the American Production and Inventory Control Society. He volunteers at Classic Rotors Helicopter Museum, holds aviation ratings as a commercial helicopter pilot with instrument rating and is a certified flight instructor for rotorcraft.
Bill Kepner
VP Product Information
Bill Kepner joined Indyme in 1994. During his career at Indyme, Mr. Kepner has developed an intimate knowledge of retail merchandising, operations and loss prevention requirements across the wide range of retail vertical markets served by Indyme. Mr. Kepner’s broad experience includes positions in product management, implementation services, pre-sales applications support and customer support. He is instrumental in visioning, defining and introducing new products and services and strongly influences the company’s strategic direction. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and an Associates degree in Electronics from Devry Institute of Technology.
Steve Deal
Founder and Chairman
The founder of Indyme Solutions, Steve Deal also served as its CEO and president for more than 25 years, providing vision and leadership as the company grew from start-up to market leader. Prior to launching Indyme, Mr. Deal held a variety of management and technical positions at Scientific-Atlanta, Datagraphix, Anaconda Telecommunications and Action Instruments. He also was Chief Engineer of two San Diego radio stations, provided specialized instrumentation consultation to M&M Mars, started three businesses and served four years in the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Deal is a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Electronics, holds a business degree from Grossmont College and has been awarded three U.S.patents. He serves as an officer on the board of the San Diego Rescue Mission and is past president of Hardhats Toastmasters club.

Die einzigartige Active Loss Prävention-Technologie von Indyme reagiert in Echtzeit auf verdächtige Ereignisse. Unsere SmartSense-Lösungen aktivieren Active Deterrents automatisch im Gang und in den Regalen, um Diebstahl zu verhindern, bevor er auftritt. Wir erkennen Verdächtige mithilfe von Indymes eigenen Kundenverhaltenssensoren oder durch Integration in Sensoren und IP-Kameras von Drittanbietern. Die aktive Abschreckung wird dann entsprechend dem Ausmaß der erkannten Bedrohung eingesetzt. Indem nur reagiert wird, wenn eine Bedrohung erkannt wird, wird das Kundenerlebnis optimiert.
