Store Operations
Indyme provides Store Operations professionals with an ecosystem of solutions including; customer engagement and call for assistance solutions, fitting room management, workflow automation, BOPIS automation, and cashier assist among others. Our SmartResponse platform enables integration of almost any third party system, which connects those systems to front line workers enabling an even wider array of solutions to even the most challenging requirements.

SmartResponse
The core of Indyme’s solution set is a powerful orchestration engine and message routing platform called SmartResponse. SmartResponse gives stores a voice by connecting any input such as a customer help request or a detected sweep event, to any output, such as a store associates communication device, the store PA, or even the Security Operations Center. SmartResponse is communications agnostic, connecting any event trigger to any in-store communications device. And when your communications system evolves, SmartResponse adapts to the new communications device be it analog radios or digital smart devices.

Active Loss Prevention
Indyme brings a differentiated approach to loss prevention. Rather than using passive devices like keepers or EAS tags, we detect behaviors and then tailor an Active Deterrence response. Indyme’s Freedom Line of self-service access solutions protects merchandise and store workers by enabling self-service access to locked merchandise, restrooms and fitting rooms. These systems identify suspicious activities using our shopper behavior sensors or by integrating with third-party sensors and cameras. Powerful cloud tools help investigators close the net around offenders. Indyme Active Loss Prevention solutions trigger Active Deterrents in aisles and on shelves to proactively prevent theft.

Joe Budano
Joe Budano joined Indyme in 2012 with a mandate to expand the company’s global footprint, drive an even stronger customer focus and accelerate the pace of innovation. Joe is passionate about creating market driven technologies that fundamentally change the economics of our customer’s businesses.
Joe brings over 25 years of successful high-tech business growth and strategic leadership to Indyme. Prior to joining Indyme, he was CEO of several private equity and venture capital backed technology companies ranging in size from pre-revenue to $1.2B. Prior to his business leadership roles, Mr. Budano was a management consultant with the Boston Consulting Group providing strategic guidance to fortune 100 companies. Previous to his stint at BCG, he held engineering and engineering management roles at Motorola.
Mr. Budano has Ten U.S. patents, holds a BSME degree from Boston University and a Masters of Management degree with distinction from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
Philip Joosten
Philip Joosten joined Indyme in 2012 with a mandate to expand the company’s global sales footprint. A Dutch national, Mr. Joosten has spent most of his career building and expanding international distribution channels for high technology products across Europe, Asia and Latin America. He has successfully built global sales channels for high technology products including next generation concentrated solar systems at Energy Innovations, sophisticated power electronics at Ametek/Xantrex/Elgar, public transportation management systems at Peek Traffic, and communication test instrumentation at Acterna/WWG/Wavetek. Prior to these roles, Mr. Joosten held various Project Management and Direct Sales positions in the communication division of Rohde & Schwarz based in Europe. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and a MS in RF-communications from HTS Oudenoord University, Utrecht, The Netherlands. Mr. Joosten is fluent in English, Dutch, German and French.
Charles Chestnutt
Charles is a global CFO with extensive experience building successful technology companies. Charles comes to Indyme from AnaBios Corporation, a life sciences company in San Diego where he was their CFO. Prior to AnaBois, he led SV Labs through a period of rapid growth, resulting in a successful M&A transaction. Charles has also held various executive level positions at IQinVision, an innovator and manufacturer of megapixel security cameras, was a vice president at Proxima Corporation (NASDAQ), an innovator and manufacturing of multimedia projectors, and held the positions of CFO at Hallmark Circuits and CFO at Rokenbok Toy Company. Charles received his BA degree in business economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
Marius Buibas
Marius co-founded Accel Robotics with a vision to revolutionize autonomous retail technology. Over the past two decades, Marius has been instrumental in raising over $100M in funding, managing cross-disciplinary teams of over 50 engineers, and delivering innovative products that have shipped in the millions.
Before Accel Robotics, Marius developed biologically-inspired neural processors and AI robotic platforms, contributing to advancements in AI, machine learning, and computer vision. Earlier in Marius’ career, he held engineering roles at Hewlett-Packard and Biosym/Molecular Simulations, where he built microfluidic printing systems and software for scientific applications.
Marius holds 26 issued patents and earned a PhD in Bioengineering from the University of California, San Diego, where their research focused on understanding communication in biological networks.
